Personally, it feels like one of those things that make sense in theory, but not in practice... I mean ok, fine, you can play faster with it... but I fail to see what else it's supposed to do...
Or if you're going to sit in on someones set and you're all used to this Vruk thing, are you going to be like "Excuse me while I attach my pedal-dohickey..." Or what???

It just seems a bit labored to me...

    Thoughts anyone?

it looks like it gives the heel toe player extra torc on the heel strike for doubles or triples. if you do stroke slide for doubles, it probably won't help much.

i use heel toe, and for me i need a pedal board that is thick at the base for power. i don't like the older yamahas circa 90's or something similar for that. i couldn't get full throw on the heel strike with them. the vruk looks interesting.

but i don't think it'll make a difference for a stroke slide guy.

    Hmmmmm...

I've tried the heel toe techniqie (mainly for doubles on a double pedal) and it always seemed a bit flaky to me.. like I'm not the one in full control of the stroke... I mean you can go real fast, but for control I much prefer the good old heel up slide..(I spoke to Mike Mangini about this, and he was pretty much of the same opinion.... and he sure can blast doubles both
    ways..)
